About Bethany A. Veiman

Hi, I'm Bethany! Midwesterner, mom of three, and happily married to my college sweetheart and best friend, Keegan. I’ve always loved history and my dream of living in a historic home became an reality in the spring of 2024 when we bought a 1923 “English-style” home overlooking the Mississippi Bluff.

I never saw myself homeschooling my kids, but I actually had a huge change of heart, and now, I can’t imagine doing it differently. I love how much flexibility it gives our family to have fun adventures and create life memories together.

If I have free time, I love getting lost in a book. I primarily read speculative, romance, mystery, and historical fiction (with the occasional nonfiction to make me feel smart).

About My Books:
I write speculative fiction with 20th-century-inspired worlds and a healthy dash of romance. I love creating flawed, forward-stumbling characters who are every bit as imperfect as the rest of us, yet give us hope for the future.

I like to call the romance in my books “swoon,” “PG-13,” or “sizzle without the scorch." Meaning that I write real romantic relationships with real human desires, but, as with all things, desire for another person must be expressed in the right way and at the right time.

Literature is a beautiful way for readers to explore (vicariously through the characters they are reading about) what respectful romantic relationships can look like.

My YA romance contains no erotic content, spice, or smut and NEVER glamorize toxic relationships. The physical side of romance never goes beyond kissing.
